Rashsaan Brown

Site Manager, North Lawndale

Raahsaan Brown serves as the Site Manager for North Lawndale. His daily focus is contributing to the refinement of work evaluations, building out training modules for transitional work supervisors for initial and ongoing training related to giving and receiving feedback, de-escalation, supervision/coaching skills, etc; in addition to working on refining the coaching format for transitional work supervisors as it relates to rhythm and content of feedback sessions.

Prior to coming aboard with Chicago CRED, Raahsaan’s skills and expertise were utilized by CARA Chicago, a leading workforce development agency that has provided CRED with outsourced supervision of participants. Raahsaan served as the project manager and gained the universal respect of the CRED team, the men, and the supervisors who work for him. His career at CARA started 11 years ago when he joined as a participant collecting trash and recyclables along Chicago streets. Over the subsequent decade, he was promoted eight times into roles with increasing responsibilities.

Raahsaan has always been passionate about people and helping them achieve maximum success in life. He truly understands the communities we serve because he used to be in their position. His mission in life is to help push the needle forward when it comes to decreasing gun violence in Chicago.
