Intisar Omar

SC2 Program Coordinator

Intisar Omar joins Chicago CRED as the SC2 Program Coordinator, reporting to Dr. Jayeti Newbold. In this role, she will be responsible for coordinating program operations, stakeholder communication, community outreach and ensuring seamless collaboration across SC2’s core service areas.

Intisar brings extensive experience in program management and operations, having previously worked at Cara Chicago as an Admissions Specialist, where they coordinated service referrals, program intake, and data tracking to support participants. Later, as an Operations Coordinator at DigitalCrafts, they managed student enrollment, reporting, and logistical operations, improving efficiency across teams.

Intisar holds a Bachelor’s degree in Justice Studies with a minor in Criminology from Northeastern Illinois University and a Project Management Certificate from the University of Chicago.

Outside of work, Intisar loves traveling abroad and exploring new restaurants with friends, always seeking out new culinary experiences!
