Chicago, IL — On Wednesday, September 25th, the Chicago Violence Intervention (CVI) community came together with legislators for the Chicago CRED 2024 Legislative Reception, a vital event dedicated to fostering dialogue and collaboration on preventative measures to reduce gun violence in the city.

Held at Metropolitan Peace Academy, this gathering brought together passionate leaders, advocates, and elected officials who share a commitment to addressing the urgent issue of gun violence. Attendees engaged in meaningful discussions, reflecting on both the challenges and successes of the ongoing efforts to create safer neighborhoods in Chicago.
